About Erica

Erica has demonstrated unwavering perseverance from an early age. She faced a significant challenge during her senior year of high school when diagnosed with a brain tumor, lost her beloved fiance in a fatal car accident several years later while pregnant with their daughter, and as a single mother, worked many jobs to provide for her daughter, Virginia. Erica embraced the challenges, working tirelessly in various roles to provide for her small family.

Graduating from South Central College in 2019 with an Associate degree, Erica served as a student recruiter, advocating for education across Southern Minnesota. Transitioning to Minnesota State University – Mankato for Political Science with a History minor, she momentarily paused studies during the pandemic to focus on family and collaborate with Habitat for Humanity.

In the vibrant community of Nicollet, Erica found love again with Kevin Schwartz. Blending their families seamlessly, they look forward to their upcoming wedding, symbolizing a new chapter of happiness. 

Erica currently works for her husband’s family business, the Nicollet Mart, which serves as a pillar of the community.

I stand firmly on the principle of alleviating tax and financial burdens for our residents. With a dedication to economic fairness, I will work to implement policies that ease the financial strain on families, allowing them to invest in their futures.

I commit to providing our local law enforcement with the essential tools and resources required to keep our neighborhoods secure. As a future public servant, I understand he critical role law enforcement plays in maintaining order and will tirelessly advocate for the support they need to carry out their duties effectively.
